By downloading, installing, or using the Gokalvi Android app (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Gokalvi is an offline AI-powered study assistant for aspirants preparing for TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) examinations. The app runs entirely on your Android device and provides bilingual study material, question banks, practice tests, a personal note-taking “Second Brain,” and other study tools.
The app is intended for adults preparing for TNPSC examinations. You must be at least 18 years of age (the minimum eligibility age for TNPSC examinations) to use the app. If you are under 18, please do not use the app.
Optional paid features (Pro subscription) are billed through Google Play’s in-app billing system. By subscribing, you also agree to Google Play’s Terms of Service. Gokalvi does not process or store your payment card details; all payment processing is handled by Google.
Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial and are billed monthly or annually as selected at purchase. Cancellation and refund terms are detailed in our Refund Policy.
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial study purposes only. You agree not to:
The Gokalvi app, including all code, design, user interface, curated question banks, worked-example solutions, and derivative content, is owned by Gokalvi and protected by copyright law. The trademark “Gokalvi” and associated branding are proprietary.
Content derived from publicly available sources (Samacheer Kalvi textbooks, TNPSC previous-year questions, official syllabus documents) remains subject to the licensing terms of those sources. Gokalvi’s curation, translation, worked examples, and presentation of that content are our copyrighted contributions.
Notes, voice recordings, images, and other content you create using the app’s “Second Brain” feature remain your property. This content is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server by Gokalvi (see Privacy Policy).
Gokalvi is a study aid. We do not guarantee that use of the app will result in selection, ranking, or any specific outcome in TNPSC examinations. Examination success depends on many factors beyond the app’s scope.
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure content accuracy, we do not warrant that the app or its content is error-free.
Errata reported by users are addressed in content updates. Our target is to acknowledge and correct verified errata within 72 hours of confirmation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gokalvi and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of examination opportunity, loss of study time, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for a Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The app relies on Google Play for billing and distribution. Your use of Google Play is subject to Google’s terms and policies. Optional current affairs updates connect to Gokalvi’s content servers to download new packs; no personal data is transmitted (see Privacy Policy).
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time. Where changes materially affect paid Pro features during an active subscription, we will provide reasonable notice and, if warranted, a pro-rated refund.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide an in-app notice.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to Pro features if you materially breach these Terms, including but not limited to unauthorized redistribution of content or circumvention of licensing checks. Termination of Pro access does not affect your right to keep using the free tier of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
