Gokalvi is a fully offline AI tutor for TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) aspirants. This Privacy Policy explains what data Gokalvi collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Gokalvi stores the following data locally on your device only. No part of this data leaves your device.

All data is stored in the app's private storage. It is not accessible to other apps on your device. You can export it at any time using the Backup & Restore feature, or delete it by clearing app data.
Gokalvi requests optional permission to use your Camera and Microphone for the Second Brain note-taking feature:
Both permissions are off by default. The app will ask for your permission the first time you use these features. You can revoke permission at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Gokalvi → Permissions.
Gokalvi's core features — AI tutoring, PYQ search, aptitude drills, Treasure knowledge packs, Study Planner — work without internet access.
Gokalvi requests internet access for one optional feature only:
Current Affairs updates: Gokalvi can download new Current Affairs packs to keep your preparation current. This is a user-initiated action; the app does not fetch data in the background automatically. When you trigger an update, the app connects to Gokalvi's secure servers to download a content pack. The only information sent is the version number of your current pack so the server knows what to send back. No personal identifiers are transmitted.
Gokalvi offers optional paid features via Google Play's billing system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. Gokalvi does not collect, see, or store your payment card details. For questions about billing, refer to Google Play's Privacy Policy.
Gokalvi is intended for adults preparing for TNPSC examinations (minimum eligibility age is 18 years). It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, please contact us at admin@gokalvi.com.
All data stored on your device is held in the app's private storage directory, which is inaccessible to other apps without root access. You may optionally enable database encryption via Settings → Data & Security. Backups you create are stored in a location you choose on your device or external storage.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will display an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
