1. Overview

Gokalvi offers a free tier and an optional Pro subscription via Google Play’s billing system. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work.

2. Free trial

Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel via Google Play before the trial ends, you owe nothing.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time:

Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device
Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Select Gokalvi – TNPSC Tutor → Cancel subscription

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.

4. Refunds via Google Play (automatic)

Google Play provides a 48-hour automatic refund window after purchase. To request an automatic refund:

Open the Google Play Store app → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history
Find the Gokalvi charge → tap Refund
Refund is processed by Google Play directly, usually within a few business days

5. Refunds outside the 48-hour window

If you are outside Google Play’s automatic window, you may request a refund from us directly by emailing admin@gokalvi.com with:

Order ID from your Google Play receipt
Reason for the refund request
Date of purchase

We review each request individually. Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days back to your original payment method (via Google Play).

6. Eligibility for out-of-window refunds

Refunds outside the 48-hour Google Play window are generally granted for:

Duplicate charges caused by a technical error
Charges after a confirmed cancellation
Substantial and continued inability to use paid features due to an app-side defect that we cannot resolve within a reasonable time

Refunds are generally not granted for:

Change of mind after the 48-hour window and after Pro features have been used
Failure to cancel before automatic renewal
Issues caused by user device incompatibility that was disclosed on the Play Store listing before purchase

7. Annual subscription pro-rated refunds

If an annual subscription is refunded after use, we may offer a pro-rated refund covering the unused months, at our discretion. This is evaluated case-by-case.

8. Chargebacks

If a chargeback is filed with your bank or card network, we ask that you contact us at admin@gokalvi.com first so we can resolve the issue directly. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in the associated Pro account being suspended.

9. Free tier

The Gokalvi free tier is provided at no cost. No refund applies since no payment is made.

11. Governing law

This refund policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Tamil Nadu.
